Straight to VHS

Dallas is a fountain of 1980's movie knowledge. I don't know when exactly his mind switched over to a mode of strictly guitar riffs and 80's cinema. But, it is intense and he has never looked back. Obscure quotes pour out of him at all times of the day. Ranging from sci-fi gems such as Space Balls to fun for the whole family epics like Mom and Dad Save the Wold. His repertoire never ceases to amaze. On Warped Tour, Dallas has brought a big CD booklet full of 80's obscura. Most of us had seen quite a few of these films that he had drawn out of his collection, with the sole exception of Eric the Viking. He said it will change our minds! We have embarked on a riotous drive to Virginia Beach and we are all up watching the film. It is strange as hell. A calm quiet has grown over the five of us as we watch their viking ship sail through space. Even stranger is when Dall quotes lines from a movie that probably was straight to VHS. The bus continues to shake harshly down the road on our way to VA. I know at some time we will cross that long freestanding bridge over the water. It just isn't the same when you do it at night.

  1. Aww, haha. Dallas <3

  2. Ah, yes..the 80's. Dallas brought the awesome on the bus.

  3. Sad that I've seen that movie a couple of times?
    Was my best friends movie.
We'd watch that movie, listen to Bob Dylan and Bowie, and drink beer all night.
    Our idea of fun.

    Should watch more 80s movies.

P.S. Got a tattoo for you guys today saying "Sometimes love isn't about how much someone suits you, but how much you're willing to change to suit them"
Your words mean the world to me.
No music has or ever will touch me like yours does.
    Keep doin your amazing thing!

  4. Guys, a post about obscure 80s movies is not complete without mentioning Repo Man.

"Let's go do some crimes!" "Yeah, let's go get sushi and not pay!"

  5. haha very nice xD!!
The Monster Squad was one of my favorite, i was like five years old when i saw the movie...

  6. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Caddyshack, Ghost Busters, Teen Wolf, Willow, and 976-EVIL....those were some good times.

  7. we(and by we i mean my roommate and i) would like to challenge Dallas to an 80's movie trivia challenge
